Technical Questions

1. How fast can you make my parts?

---This depends on the complexity of design and the process used. Generally we cancomplete CNC projects in 3-5 days (although we have done many projects in 1day!). Vacuum casting projects take roughly 7-10 days. Shipping time takes 2-3days including the weekend so if sent on the Friday your parts will arrive onthe Monday.

2. What material should I use for myproject?

---Most material is application specific. If you do not have a material selectedfor your application, we will gladly assist and offer you some guidance. Oftenseveral resins can be sampled but the customer will give final approval beforeproceeding.

3. What about the quality/tolerance of theparts?

---CNC tolerances of prototypes are +/-0.1mm per 100mm and +/-0.2mm per 100mm forvacuum casting. Higher accuracy can be achieved as per/depending on thegeometry, material and process.

General Questions

1. What if I’m not happy with the endproduct?

---If it’s practical to do so, we will remake any parts that you are not100% satisfied with. However, if it is not practical to do so, then we willprovide you a credit of a negotiated sum.

Itis important to note that regarding plastic injection, it is expected that theT1(first trial of tooling)samples are never completely satisfactory. T1 samplesrarely carry the final finish or texture as the customer often finds the needto modify the design and change tooling.

2. How can I make payments to you?

---We currently accept payments via bank to bank wire transfer andPayPal.

3. What are shipping terms for rapidprototyping orders?

---Our standard terms are Ex Works (EXW) for rapid prototyping andregular production orders. This means that once we make the goods ready forpickup, all other transportation costs and risks are assumed by the customeronce the good leave our premises.

4. What are the terms for shipping of rapidtooling order samples?

---Our standard terms are Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) for samples only. This means that we assume all freight charges and liability to the named placein the county of importation. From there, the customer is responsible for theimporting tax or duty of the goods at the importing country.

5. How much import duty will I need to payfor my goods?

---There is no single answer to this question. Import duties vary widelyamong countries and are dependent on the type of good being imported. Mostcountries conform to the international Harmonized System (HS) codes that categorizealmost all commercial trade goods.

6. What are HS codes?

---Harmonized System (HS) codes are part of a numbering classificationsystem for most commercial trade goods. When exporting goods, the correct HScode(s) must be declared on the export declaration documents. Catalogue existwhich list the latest code numbers for all trade goods and should be referredto for the most accurate information. Failure to report the correct HS codenumber can result in serious financial and criminal penalties to the importer.

7. Do we have insurance on delivered goods?

---No, our deliveries are not insured.

8. How long does a quotation take?

---Generally speaking, we respond within 24 hours of an RFQ once allrelevant information has been submitted. However, there may be situations whenwe must source material from an external supply and therefore the quotation maybe delayed accordingly.
